tumblr now is a very weird place for kids to grow up with
like ngl….. I had a tumblr from the time I was 12 onwards and like back in 2012 it wasn’t that bad just kind of cringy and fandomey but now tumblr has become a lot more political and it’s full of very polarizing opinions and 12-14 year olds are plunging headfirst into that
it’s scary because these kid’s critical thinking skills and personalities arent fully developed yet, and they’re just beginning puberty which is a trying and confusing emotional stage of life… and they’re practically being FORCED into “choosing a side” in a very aggressive environment where they’re criticized for having the Wrong opinions and aren’t given a chance to learn and think for themselves
and I think we all know someone our age who’s so obviously a product of Tumblr Foolishness and it’s scary to think people will be going out into the world thinking like this website does. yikes
andrew and i went to the mall today and there was a store called boxlunch that neither of us had ever heard of but when we went in i was like “this seems like a less goth teen hot topic” so i looked it up and it’s literally owned by hot topic but marketed toward people who no longer feel comfortable navigating around hot topic teens but still wanna pay too much for nerd shit

hi everyone!! my name is grainne but i go by grace! i’m from scotland in the uk and i have cerebral palsy, this year i’ve been offered a place at university!! but my university is built on a lot of hills and i would struggle to get to classes on my own. i really really value my independence so i am looking to buy an electric wheelchair attachment to help me get around - a SMARTDriveMX2!! it’s a wheel that attaches to the back of your wheelchair to give you more power going up hills.
i can’t stress how much this would improve my life, not only for university, but just in general as getting around on my own can be really difficult. if i was to get this it would be like a weight off my shoulders, i could go to university, i could go travelling, go shopping ect just normal things without having to worry about being tired or sore!! the freedom that abled bodied people get doesn’t seem so far away!
the only problem is that the SMARTDriveMX2 is £5750 and i start university in september!! i really hate to ask anyone for money but there’s no way i can afford this on my own - so if you can please please donate!!
