Alton’s usually subtle when he watches a sabotage (or, in this case, an advantage) succeed or fail, so what makes this one of my favorites is how he just loses it in the middle of judging

ladies and gentlemen we have officially reached the “in case a nuclear attack happens” phase……. [x]

This shit is wild.

There should be an amber alert or something to warn us, hopefully. But if you’re so close to the blast that the entire outside flashes white your first priority is to get underneath the blastwave any way you can.

After that you have 2 options: drive away or protect yourself from the radiation.

Option one is tough because literally everybody else is going to want to do this, and you could get stuck right in the fallout. And lemme tell you, if you’re stuck out there when the ashes first fall for more than 15 minutes, you’re dead. Radiation poisoning.

Option two is harder, but has a better success rate. Get underground. Most houses have a crawlspace, but in this bad time just saw a fucking hole in your floor. Put table over hole. Pack some large containers (like tubs), with dirt, tight, and stack them on your table or wherever you’re going to be directly underneath. you need 36 inches if dirt to be protected from the radiation poisoning. You could preemptively buy lead and stick that in a container with a lot of serface area, i forget how many inches you need vertically.

How ever much serface area the dirt/metal/lead covers is how much you and your party will be able to move around. As long as there’s enough inches vertically you’ll be good so long as you stay under it.

You gotta stay under there for at least 2 weeks, 3 to be sure.

Also, if you can see the mushroom cloud, stick your arm out as far as you can. Do a thumbs-up and close one eye. If your thumb is bigger than the cloud, you are safe. If the cloud is bigger or the same size as your thumb, then that means you are in the radiation zone and should evacuate immediately.

I cannot believe I actually have to freaking reblog this but here y'all go just in case

Take a break from the humor for just a second and read this.

Girl meets world addresses Cultural appropriation

… I’ve been waiting for this gifset to appear on my dash…. *heavy sigh*

NO. Wearing styles from Harajuku is not appropriation.

First, “Harajuku” is not a style. It’s a style hub, a place were people (mostly Japanese, but due to popularity, also foreigners) go to show off their personal styles of choice; whether it be Gyaru, Lolita, Cyber kei, Visual kei, Oshare kei, Gothic, Fairy. whatever. Cosplay is also seen here.

Second, Harajuku styles are not girls only. Plenty of boy styles.

Third, the different styles are based off many international influences, not just Japanese culture (most having NOTHING to do with Japanese culture). Example: Fairy and Pop kei are influences by predominately Western 80s style and cartoons. In fact, many of these styles are purposefully western in influence to go AGAINST normative styles and standards of beauty.

Fourth, the fashion styles are open for everyone, regardless of being Japanese or not. There are plenty of stores (often run by prevalent members of the fashion cultures) that sell to international clients, whether online or brick&mortar. Baby The Stars Shine Bright has a store in California. You would probably see more of these stores if the international fanbase were bigger.

Fifth, “Ambassadors” of the different styles travel all over the world to promote and spread the different fashions (and themselves, of course). This includes brand “Tea Parties,” promotional model searches, and fashion shows. People are INVITED to join the fun.

Sixth, it’s about as much culture appropriation as goth, punk, soft grunge, etc.

Seventh, it’s literally just fashion.

But I think the main issue I have with this: I’m pretty sure this part wasn’t about appropriation at all, but rather finding a style for yourself and not because you want to be popular. The girl in this show wasn’t dressing in a “Harajuku” style because she likes it; she was doing it for attention. Dressing in Lolita isn’t bad. Dressing in Lolita because you want people to pay attention and fawn over you is. Picking a style doesn’t mean you have to reinvent the wheel; it’s okay to wear a style that already exists. But do it for yourself and if it makes YOU happy for yourself. Not for the attention.

Glad someone said it better than me. This is not appropriation. She is wearing a street style. All I got to add is that this is kinda….silly? Like, if a girl puts on a Versace dress and doesn’t know its Versace and doesn’t give a crap about fashion, so what? So what if she likes that others look at her? These Disney tv shows are always creating pointless emty drama, bleh.

Reblogging because this explanation is perfect.
