Probably how he tamed his horse, because that is some straight up Mary Sue level bullshit that no one would ever believe except the people who saw it wrote it down going “Yeah son of a bitch the kid did it what the hell.”

sometimes im really glad i was born at the time i was, because i watch a lot of videos of people doing “old world” artisan shit and in the age of me being able to see virtually anything ever on the internet and being just short of able to DO anything ever, that is still the coolest shit on earth to me, and im worried that if i was born in the 1500s or something and i made a day trip to pick up a new barrel to salt cure my meats in or whatever, i would just like, see the cooper doing his shit and just lose it

Tumblr doesn’t care about Net Neutrality anymore.

Let’s take a look at some screenshots of an article I was reading earlier today…

Keyword: was. They don’t support net neutrality anymore. Why you ask? well…

Tumblr is owned by Yahoo. Now that Verizon (a company that hates net neutrality) bought Yahoo, they have demanded that Tumblr must stop supporting net neutrality too. The Tumblr staff has stopped posting about net neutrality.

This site is being forced to hate net neutrality. (article link)

this is why all those net neutrality posts are disappearing from your feeds. don’t let it do so

please dont stop reblogging NN posts and actually use the sources you reblog please. dont use the bots or format things. they are calling that “spam” and “fake”

make your own emails. write your own arguments. don’t use preformatted things. if this will affect you seriously please emphasize that. they must hear this on all sides that net neutrality protects us

the public emails of the people who can vote net neutrality

Ajit Pai - Ajit.Pai@fcc.gov

Mignon Clyburn - Mignon.Clyburn@fcc.gov

Michael O'Rielly - Mike.O'Rielly@fcc.gov

Brendan Carr - Brendan.Carr@fcc.gov

Jessica Rosenworcel - Jessica.Rosenworcel@fcc.gov

some of them are in favor of net neutrality; i believe it’s the two women

please don’t send them hate or anything. that will not fix this issue. we need well-structured arguments, and a lot of emotion. for fuck’s sake there are people that can’t leave their homes because of disability/other factors and they will not be able to support themselves. don’t write about fandoms; they don’t care about that. write about schools and home shopping and freedom of expression
thank you

don’t bite my boob

Mmmmrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrhhhhhh

what a cute angry baby

She’s very well-behaved for something she clearly hates.

“Look, I trust you not to hurt me cause I consider us to be family; but just to be clear, this is still awful and I still hate you, and I want you to KNOW that I hate you rn,” is probably why she’s both well-behaved and visibly angry. Like a toddler who whines and cries when her hair is brushed but trusts her mother/father/parent to not be overly rough with the process.

They don’t care about the public’s opinion anymore??? Are you shitting me??? Isn't America supposed to be a democracy where the people have a say in the future of this country?? They say they won’t listen to opinions anymore.

GUYS PUMP OUT COLD HARD FACTS. I’LL BE WRITING AN EMAIL TO THE HEAD SCUMBAG HIMSELF WITH SOME COLD HARD FACTS. I SUGGEST YOU GUYS DO THE SAME!!!

ps: i know I’m being obnoxious with all the unnecessary punctuation and all caps but i need to get the message across.

edit: someone asked for a source so here: https://www.theverge.com/2017/11/22/16689838/fcc-net-neutrality-comments-were-largely-ignored

I absolutely agree with rephrasing the letters and redoubling efforts but as cathartic as it is to send letters directly to Ajit Pai, it’s misdirecting useful energy. He is about as anti-net neutrality as it is physically possible to be and even if you are a lawyer and you send perfectly phrased legalese to him, he is not going to change his position. The key here is to send messages to people that can potentially be swayed.

Mignon Clyburn

Michael O’Rielly

Brendan Carr

Jessica Rosenworcel

These are the other commissioners of the FCC. Please, aside from your senators and representatives, email these people and let them hear your voice.

(x) This is a link to the leadership page for the FCC, under each name is a tab where you can email them directly, please take the time to do so if you can.

FYI, I had a couple of posts tagged net neutrality scheduled to go out over the last couple days but they somehow never showed up? I’m suspicious now that they’re being censored. Keep an eye out for this.

this literally just happened i’ll post the screen cap in second

here’s the post @lioness–hart just put up

here’s what happened when i tried to reblog

Error Code: OCP02 [Post Not Found]
does this violate current net neutrality itself? like censoring posts like this …

It sure does. Big companies have been censoring content and voices for years, but without net neutrality they’ll basically be getting paid to do it en masse. It’ll get way worse way fast.

The FCC will soon vote to kill net neutrality. But Congress can stop them if they hear from constituents now.

Yesterday afternoon the House subcommittee that provides Congressional oversight for the FCC held an important hearing about the agency’s current plans, including current Chairman (and former Verizon lawyer) Ajit Pai’s move to gut Title II net neutrality protections that prevent ISPs from controlling what we do online with throttling, censorship, and extra fees.

With Capitol Hill’s attention now on the FCC, and Pai’s final plan to gut net neutrality protections expected in the coming weeks, it’s extra important that Congress gets flooded with phone calls from Internet users telling them to stand up and defend the open Internet.

We’re also hearing there are key members of Congress considering whether to step in and force Pai to slow down. This means best chance to stop the FCC from breaking the fundamental principle that makes the Internet awesome is to pound Congress with phone calls right now.

You can call your reps easily with just one click here: battleforthenet.com

You’ll see a script on your screen, or you can say something like this:

“I support Title Two net neutrality rules and I urge you to oppose the FCC’s plan to repeal them. Specifically, I’d like you to contact the FCC Chairman and demand he abandon his current plan.”

You can also just call this number directly and enter your zipcode to get connected to your legislators: 202-930-8550.

If you run a website, blog, tumblr, or forum, help spread the word by putting up a sticky post, or use one of these widgets, ads, or banners: https://www.battleforthenet.com/#join

Ajit Pai is expected to circulate the text of his rule killing net neutrality on November 22, the day before Thanksgiving. Once that happens, it will move to a vote at the FCC’s open meeting in December, and it will become much much harder to stop him.

It’s clear that the FCC remains set on killing net neutrality. But Congress can stop the FCC from gutting the rules that keep the web open, affordable, and awesome.

Idgaf if this isn’t my theme we’re losing this fight tell your family tell your friends l e t ‘ s g o

I can’t stress enough how important this is. I rarely deviate from my surreal meme theme but this is something that can’t be ignored. This decision will affect the whole world!

How To Actually Fight For Net Neutrality

There’s a lot of big, wordy articles going around tumblr right now, and they’re all great. But I wanted to make a mastpost of sorts of all the actions you can take and sites/bots that are here to help.

battleforthenet - The main hub for all things net neutrality. Fill out a form in seconds to e-mail your rep, or enter your phone number and a prerecorded message will call you, tell you exactly what to do and provide a script before connecting you with your representative. You can also set up a daily call.

Verizon Protests - Protests are happening at Verizon stores across the country on Dec 14th.

5 calls - This site is my favorite for calls. They provide a script and directions for calling the FCC, senators, and local state rep.

Resistbot - A phenominal service for those who cannot call, this bot will contact your rep on your behalf. However, every time I try to use it, they are busy.

Many of you are hitting the same roadblock I am: Mailboxes are full. So what do we do at that point? We send letters. Go to WhoIsMyRepresentative.com and enter your zip code to find addresses for your senators and house reps. You can use the phone script from the sites above, or compose your own note, or simply write “I am your constituent and I want you to fight to keep net neutrality.”

I know a lot of this is very overwhelming and hopefully this makes things easy and straightforward. You can send an e-mail, make 4 phone calls, and write a letter in less than 10 minutes. Please take the time to do so.

You can also send a free fax (up to 5 free a day):

https://faxzero.com/

FaxZero even lists your congressperson, senator and governor.  It’s super easy.

(I have only ever used FaxZero, but other services include  eFax, HelloFax, and FaxCongress.)

I know this is a politics-free blog, but if this isn’t stopped then there won’t be a blog, for many of us. It’s time. Take action.
