This was seriously one of the darkest deaths I’ve seen in what’s meant to be a “children’s” cartoon. Holy fucking shit I love this show. :D
It’s not just that; how many people died making Northwest Mansion, how many people did that flood kill, how many homes were destroyed?
It wasn’t just a flood it was a mud slide. Floods are really bad but the word implies that it was just an act of nature. This was a mudslide caused directly by the lack of the trees and roots holding everything together. Mudslides are thick and fast,. They’re absolutely lethal and the one in the show was really big and probably destroyed a lot of the town and people.
I also can’t help but think of the bodies at the end of the hill. When we see the Northwest manor in present day there aren’t any gravestones. That’s not because they were hiding the bodies, the bodies aren’t there anymore, they got swept away.
(And everything about this whole sequence was incredibly accurate, this shit happened so much. And still does ofc)
Which certainly explains why so many zombies were in the forest around the Mystery Shack in Scaryoke.
Those graves had to end up somewhere.
