Ermm… I’m Sōma Yukihira. Truth be told, I didn’t expect to be admitted in this academy, but I don’t plan on losing to some bunch that has never stood in front of clients. I’ll use all of you as stepping stones. Now that I’m here, I’ll take the top.
i just wanted to add this on for those who don’t speak filipino:
dyosa means “goddess”
mayaman means “rich”
artistahin means “could be an actress”
sosyal means “fancy”
morena is a term used for someone with tan to light brown brown skin; it’s still definitely used in a more positive to neutral way
pulubi means “beggar”
unggoy means “monkey”
hampaslupa is an insult that means something along the lines of “good for nothing”
dukha is a term that i wasn’t familiar with, but apparently it’s another word for poor or “low-born”
taong grasa is a degrading term i’ve heard most often used in regards to homeless people; it literally means “grease person,” has a very negative connotation, and teleseryes use this term a lot when they refer to someone who suffers from a mental illness and has become homeless because of it

I recently encountered a very ominous error message when trying to boot my Animal Crossing: New Leaf cartridge:

The game would begin to boot, it would show the loading train, but then it would just black out to this screen and force my 3DS to shut down. As you can imagine I was very distressed, but I couldn’t give up on my town!
I tried very hard to find a solution online, only to find that many other people had the same problem as me. The only explanation was that the cartridge had failed and my town was gone. The only possible way to save my town data was to purchase a digital copy and use the save data transfer tool to attempt to bring it into the e-copy. I also heard horror stories about how Nintendo wasn’t being very sympathetic in replacing these seemingly flawed copies of the game. Some people even suggested cleaning the contacts on the game cartridge with rubbing alcohol. I tried updating my 3DS software, removing street pass, EVERYTHING. But nothing seemed to work. I was ready to throw in the towel…
HOOOOOO BUT WAIT JUST A SECOND, MY SWEET BABY TATER TOTS!!
Now, I have been at university and have not played my 3DS in 3 months. I wondered what would happen if I reset my 3DS System Clock back to a time before the last time I had played.
LO AND BEHOLD!!
IT WORKED! I went back to March 20, and then was able to successfully boot the game, load my town, save, and then reset the 3DS clock to the correct date.
I am not saying this will work in every single case, but I really, really hope this helps somebody out because I was about to cry myself to sleep thinking about all the hours I had lost. Since I have not seen a single successful attempt at correcting this error, I implore you to share this post, and tag it so it shows up in search results on search engines so people like me won’t lose their precious town!
There should be a word to describe that horrible feeling you get when you realize halfway through telling a story that it’s not as funny as you thought it was, but it’s too late to back out. So you just finish the story and everyone listening does that awkward polite laugh and then it gets quiet, so you burn your house down, fake your death, move to Chile and start a new life as a loner fisherman.
