dog 6: little is known about this dog, other than he is the product of a top secret government project gone wrong. filled to the brim with the latest cybernetic technology and performance enhancing pharmaceuticals, He became unstable, and massacred the entire black ops lab he was being held in. He now wanders, an unknown quantity. What destruction is this dog capable of?
I was approached by one of the producers of the TLC show Love, Lust, Or Run saying they want me to be part of the show. I read the synopsis. I worry they approached me because they want to make lolita fashion look like a joke that hinders my life and the people around me in general. I got so excited because at first their message made it seem like they were interested in me because as they put it I was ‘pretty, stylish, unique, and look lovely without makeup!’ but considering I did a little research. I don’t think that’s their intention at all. And now I just kind of feel bad about myself.
Here’s the message I received:
‘Hey Shannon,
I am not sure if one of our Casting Producers has reached out to you already, but I am currently casting a show for TLC in NYC/Tri-State area, looking for girls that are pretty, stylish and unique. Fashion Host, Stacy London, is looking to take an individual’s styles and give them a 2.0 version of themselves. So if you or a friend might be interested I would love to jump on the phone to discuss. I love how unique and adventurous you are, but also more importantly I know that you are really pretty even without make up and would probably look cool in any style. What made you think I would come to you wearing a fashion I love, and ask you to change it? Your message is very misleading. You made it seem like all you would do is take my every day fashion I wear, and just enhance it and make me feel hella cool. (which hey, if that turns out to be your intention, then I would be totally down) But looking at this add, I think that’s not the intention at all and I just feel rotten.
If anyone who’s interested in Japanese street fashion, or out there fashion who’s in the NY area get’s a message or is emailed by someone from this show, please be weary. I’m going to wait for the woman to message me back to be extra positive of the intentions because for all we know, I could be wrong. But let’s be real, it doesn’t exactly seem…how she made it seem when she messaged me.
