YAHOO IS KILLING FLICKR AND MIGHT KILL TUMBLR
This is a screenshot of a confidential Yahoo investor presentation. It appears that Yahoo plans to kill Flickr and perhaps Tumblr as well. PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD
Please spread this around Tumblr. Yahoo has a history of swiftly killing sites on short notice, even if they have a large userbase like Tumblr. There is an independent group of archivists called the Archive Team dedicated to backing up these sites and integrating them into the Wayback Machine. If Yahoo does follow through with their plan to kill Tumblr and Flickr, you could really help the Archive Team save them by donating bandwidth with the Archive Team Warrior.
This is not a Yahoo-sponsored presentation, this is a presentation by SpringOwl, which has stock in Yahoo but has no real executive power (which is in the disclaimer of the presentation). If the investors complain loudly enough, then yeah, shit might go down, but this is not a conversation that the executives at Yahoo were having. Also, the presentation itself kind of sucks, to be honest! They cite Wikipedia at some points! Why would you do that?
tl;dr: Yahoo isn’t actually killing Flickr or Tumblr as of right now. These are recommendations made by a third party investor to a bunch of other investors.

- huang an’s weibo account was banned and he is now hated in taiwan (and is starting to be hated in china as well)
- presidental election was held in taiwan today and because it was highly affected by this situation, the democratic party won (ending the 8-year-long reign of the nationalist china-supporting party) and taiwan now has its first female president

Speaking as someone who is studying 3D printing, I find it highly unlikely that this is actually a printed model. First, most 3D printers cannot print in color, meaning that either he painted this perfectly, with completely realistic colors, or he has access to a machine which can print in photorealistic colors, which would be uncommon and expensive.
Second, making a digital model to print from is not a simple matter of clicking a couple buttons. In order for this to be an accurate model, the guy’s dad would have to be scanned by a laser scanner made for this purpose, a process which would take at least an hour for this level of detail. I doubt that anyone could stand perfectly still for that long.
Third, the level of detail is just too high. You can clearly see crease marks in the pants with no “stepping” effect anywhere, which would require the layer height on the printer to be considerably smaller than the width of those creases. No commercially available printer goes that small that I know of. If one does exist, it would be extremely high-end, costing thousands of dollars.
If he does work for a company that owns a machine capable of making this, I highly doubt they would let him take up hours of valuable machine time, and spend a considerable amount of money on operating costs, on a vanity project.
So yeah, this is just a fairly well-done photoshop. Or a shrink ray accident.
My father was scanned with an Artec Eva scanner and was printed by Europac 3D who provide the same service commercially for ASDA supermarkets who have commenced this service to the general public for £60 per model. His full colour 3D print took 4 hours and utilises the colour collected directly by the Artec scanning system. The same system was used on a number of VFX projects in the film industry by my father including World War Z and the soon to be released Houdini.
You are saying this is not scan data and that this is not 3d printed, my father, who is a 3D data specialist, suggests you change your course to one that is more up-to-date and better informed. It might be a good idea to reserve passing comment until you actually know what you are talking about.

What is your opinion on the new champion, Jhin The Virtuoso?
Good question! With a fairly complicated answer.
I was really excited when the first glimpses of Jhin showed up. He had this perfect artistic, yet psychotic mystery to him, and I was extremely curious as to what Riot had in store for us. When he was revealed, it was honestly kind of a let-down. In terms of an actual playable champion, he’s basically just another gun user. I feel like his abilities really don’t play into the kind of character he was hyped up to be.
Nevertheless, his actual character design is pretty cool (though I really hate that shoulder block thing he has going on). My favorite part about him is his voice and quotes. He’s such a sass-fest! I’ll probably play him just so I can hear him throw shade at everybody.
Also, on that note, Jhin is actually a lolshipper himself! He has one particular quote that he’ll only say around Katarina and Garen, where he mentions them being “star-crossed lovers.” Not only is this a really interesting tidbit regarding his opinions on other champions, but it also brings Katarina and Garen closer to a cannon ship. That’s always exciting!
Plus I really like the idea of Jhin secretly shipping Kat and Garen.
Overall, despite his mundane abilities, I’m really looking forward to watching more of his story unfold, as well as seeing what the fanbase does with him.
