Background info: I’m 5’9.5”, which is way taller in Japan than it is in America. I don’t actually teach 1st and 2nd graders, so this is the majority of my interactions with them.
'eto' is basically the Japanese version of “um”, and thus is a term I use a lot when trying to speak over here.
