Anthony Martinez is a gay brown boy on the student council that always plans school dances and never gets asked so when his straight best friend asked him to junior prom after seeing posts about him being sad about not having a date he was ecstatic because he actually got to go to a dance and go with a boy
this isn’t just a straight boy being gross and trying to get ally points this is the kid’s best friend
the promposal went viral and both of them got lots of attention, including from Ellen
Anthony is going to use the money he got from Ellen to “further an education in political science and lgbtq history and pre-law” to “make sure teens and adults aren’t being kicked out of their homes or fired or bashed and can be accepted not tolerated”
most importantly a gay brown boy got to feel good about himself and if that pisses you off as an adult what’s wrong with you
