why do people look like their art styles so much like they don’t look exactly like it but you can look at a person then at their art then back at the person and be like “yes, this is definitely the person who drew this”

I’ve always thought this!!!!! I also find that the way I daw hands by default looks like my own hands, too (I’m too lazy to try and find some comparison photos though)

Memoirs of a Geisha still makes me so mad like, a pasty white mayo author writes a book that horribly misrepresents a Japanese woman’s trade, exoticizes her culture, and names her as a source even though she told him NOT to yet he goes and does it anyway because he has no absolute respect to her, and he becomes a bestselling author and his shitstain book gets made into a triple-Grammy award film whereas Mineko Iwasaki, the geisha whose trade he ruined and got death threats for, writes her own memoir and it hardly gets any attention???? If this isn’t white privilege I don’t know what is.

There are awesome fight scenes
And dramatic narrative moments
And best of all, the show fluctuates between being awesome and freaking ridiculous at the drop of a hat, often in the same narrative breath.
It’s a really good show to watch if you want to learn about the use of color and shapes in storytelling, as well as exaggerated perspective, use of negative space, timing, and narrative arcs. I recommend it to all comic artists, storyboarders, illustrators, cinematographers, writers… heck, ANYONE. GET HYPE.

Here we see the difference between a greedy bastard and a kind loving king. Tubbs, the ever greedy, takes the entire bowl and pays you with 20-60 fish. Xerxes IX, the generous and caring royalty, gives nearly the same amount of fish for merely the amount of food that a normal cat consumes. Proof that tubbs is good for nothing.

appreciate the gifts that Xerxes brings, Tubbs is making a much larger

it seems like everyone i follow on tumblr is posting copious amounts of dragon age, and i feel it is pertinent to say that i’ve seen a lot of things: an ostensibly traitorous egg person, a horrific bull human hybrid, romantic british redcoat dances, pirates, magic, violence, soft porn of every orientation combination, sad white haired anime elves…yes, i’ve seen it all. what have i not seen? even one single dragon.
